burtybob
Ok thats a long title. I am interested in progressing from moderate PHP into more complex and "useful" programming and i am interested in knowing what you guys think of ALL the different languages out there from ASP to JAVA why you think that language is best and the best way to learn eg dive in on some opensource or get a book/tutorial. trq
ASP is not a language but a framework providing an interface to several different languages (C# / VB). Anyway, having said that. The language you choose highly depends on what exectly it is you want to build. You say you want to do 'more complex and "useful" programming', what exactly do you meen? Why on earth would you want to do more complex programming? jazz
If you think PHP is moderate, then I suggest you go to Python or Lisp.
