I think it might be because 'rights' is an enum field..I dont know...

<?php
include 'connect.php';

$tid = "28";
$title = "AASD";
$description = "AASD";
$fname = "AASD";
$segtitle = "AASD";
$location = "AASD";
$date = "AASD";
$rights = "army";
$keywords = "AASD";

$sql = mysql_query("INSERT INTO video (tape_id, filename, name, description, seg_title, location, date, rights, keywords) VALUES ('$tid','$fname','$title','$description','$segtitle','$location','$date','$rights','$keywords'") or die(mysql_error());
echo $sql;
?>

that keeps giving me:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

Change this

<?php
$sql = mysql_query("INSERT INTO video (tape_id, filename, name, description, seg_title, location, date, rights, keywords) VALUES ('$tid','$fname','$title','$description','$segtitle','$location','$date','$rights','$keywords'") or die(mysql_error());
?>

to

<?php
$sql = "INSERT INTO video (tape_id, filename, name, description, seg_title, location, date, rights, keywords) VALUES ('$tid','$fname','$title','$description','$segtitle','$location','$date','$rights','$keywords'";
$rs = mysql_query($sql) or die("Problem with the query: $sql<br>" . mysql_error());
?>

That will show you the query and the error message which may show you the problem.  If, not post what was shown here.
