time() - 7776000

time is the current unix timestamp, its the seconds since the unix epoch (00:00:00 UTC on January 1, 1970).

its a number string that can be used to tell the current date with php's date() function, eg:

<?php
$timestamp = time();
$timestamp = $timestamp + (strtotime("+ 5 days") - time());

echo(date("l jS F Y H:i:s",$timestamp));
?>

the + or - is a simple math expression in php, it adds "seconds" to the current "timestamp", as the timestamp is a number (of seconds).

the above example uses strtotime to demonstrate how you can play with the timestamp you have given.

so, time() - 7776000 is the current time, minus 7776000 seconds, so 7776000 into the past.

hope this helps,
