richard.beatson
Hi there. I really don't know much about PHP I'm afraid so I'm wondering if you guys could help me? Fasthosts upgraded my account from PHP4 to PHP5 recently without letting me know. I'm sure they didn't let anyone know but hey... The result is that my PHP mailer does not now function. I called support who highlighted the problem but I'm really now sure what to do from here. They pointed me to this page on their site: http://www.fasthosts.co.uk/knowledge-ba ... icle_id=70 so I guess I now have to update a file (class.phpmailer.php perhaps?) I'm running Joomla. After I called them they said that I had to make a few alterations to the script (how do I attach a file in this forum?) but I'm not sure what... Could someone who has more knowledge than me with PHP just point me in the right direction and let me know what needs to be updated in order that it's done correctly? Thanks in advance. dotservant.com
Joomla is rather slow on releasing new updates, it may not be ready for PHP 5, you might want to request your web host to move your account to a server with PHP 4 while waiting for Joomla to fully support it.
