  1. the root directory file Hi, I'm Theo and I'm one of the people behind a PHP code security scanner that''s currently in beta and it is FREE. We are planning on transferring it to a subscription model in March 2024 but right now it's free and we are collecting feedback from fellow PHP programmers to make sure it works well. So far, we have added GitHub and GitLab by popular demand and generally the feedback has been positive. However, there are also known issues -- sometimes parts of code don't scan, sometimes (allegedly) there are vulnerabilities the scanner doesn't catch (but those were just claims and no code was ever provided to us ). My team and I would be really grateful if you gave it a try and let us know what worked for you and what didn't, as well as any other comments you might have (maybe regarding the general look of the website etc.) I joined this project because I personally just want to make the internet a safer place. I know it's an impossible ambition to achieve but hey, one step at a time? The link to the scanner is here. I have already spoken with my colleagues because recently, I was accused of being a hippie scammer (wow) cause the only time you see that the advances features of scanner are free is if you actually go to the subscription plan and only then does it show that the advanced features are free at the moment. I hope you give it a try! The way it works is, you upload your code (or parts of your code) and the scanner looks for vulnerabilities which you can then download in a pdf format. It (the scanner) should also give you suggestions on how to fix them. Please do let me know if you try it and something doesn't work! And please provide the code that you've used. Thank you so much in advance!
  2. Oh, sorry, I must have misquoted you by mistake -- I was asking the original poster for the current version of the code
  3. wait I'm sorry this is wildly off-topic but are you really 74 years old? (if so, that's insanely cool and I'd love to ask you some questions)
  4. me every single day aha also I'm glad the issue was resolved! I was about to start typing ahaha
  5. I would even go as far as to say it's impervious to update code cause PHP 5 is quite a bit different from PHP imho
  6. Yo what's up! Bist du Deutsch?
  7. is actually a great song by NF. 10/10 recommended! Anyway, what's up, I'm Theo, I'm kinda new here but I've finished working on this security scanner recently and currently I'm collecting feedback from other programmers. To tell you the truth, it hasn't really been going well. From getting accused of being a spammer to a scammer (???) to a hippie lmao (that one was wild) and then people who actually test it come back with 'does it even work??' and then just don't provide the code they've used so I'm left wondering what exactly doesn't work cause everything on my side works when I put in my sample codes. It's been some days of this and I'm honestly so tired aha I just wanna go back to coding. I don't want to do any of this no mo. The problem is, we need more people to test it out but my messages just get auto-flagged as spam and I'm like. How the hell do you even. Ask people for feedback nowadays? Sorry this has turned into a whinery lmao I'm just literally at my wits' end as I've just got yet another message from someone telling me I'm a bot. Genuinely I'm starting to re-think my passionate loathing of AI cause damn at least AI doesn't have feelings (yet?) to hurt. I've started out being like YEAH! Ofc I'll tell people! and was like everyone is gon be so excited for this, a FREE PHP code security scanner? Hell yeah! And then literally nobody is but that aside, it just gets flagged immediately by community members, not even the modddddssssss. Yeah so this is my intro ig. I'm done and I just wanna go back to coding ahaha at least my progs don't call me a bot fr That said, I really hope this website delivers on its rules cause I've already got that .txt for you at the ready and once I'm done I can go back to coding and return here with questions other than 'please put it some code in here and tell me if the thing works' i also like dogs music and horror films wbu
  8. Thanks! I'll check those categories out! Thanks again for responding
  9. Oh, I mean like, the newest posts I see are from 2022. That's why I thought the forum was dead cause it shows me posts from 2022 and then the banner pops up saying don't respond to old posts. Is it not the same for you? Which is the most recent post you see?
  10. Ah, I see. Thanks! Cause again, lots of posts show up as too old to respond to. Is there a filter system I'm not aware of?
  11. I keep seeing really old posts and when I want to respond to them, a banner pops up telling me I shouldn't revive really old posts. I'm not sure if this forum is active apart from the mods/owners..?
  12. Hi! Just to preface this, I'm using Firefox on a 14" screen at the moment So...right off the bat, I think the logo is good and I like that you've included service reviews on the site! However... The font + the background look like they are straight from MS Paint. I'd recommend living up the font and centering the 'Call us' part The 'Regular and Organic' banner should probably be resized and stretched out and put in the header next to the logo -- that way you tackle that huge empty space up there and and remove the image that kind of breaks the flow of your site -- two for the price of one! This should definitely be highlighted with more than just asterisks. If I were you, I'd remove the really large png of the logo from further down the page altogether as it looks really out of place plus the background of that image is really different to the colour of your overall layout. I like everything else! I think the categories are a clever call and the photos vs text layout was placed really well!
  13. awwww that's so sweet ahahaha, really brings back the nostalgia of when i'd just started coding and was trying to make sense of Visual Code also github was something i instantly fell in love with ngl
