Assuming you only want (a) a single category per item, and (b) no subcategories, then yes.
-
Of course there's an easier way -- use a DB wrapper to write the queries for you, and pass it a hash.
-
I don't know what a "large query" is, and why it's a problem.
-
Sorry -- never worked with NDB.
-
First, you can change the auto-increment starting value.
Second, you really don't need to change UIDs -- ever.
-
Show us the EXPLAIN.
-
There could be thousands of matching rows -- don't get data just to throw it out.
-
Are you sure it's using that my.ini file?
-
Browsers need to be told about UTF-8, as well as your import.
-
What are you trying to do? That looks like it should be a JOIN.
-
So you have 0, 1, or 2 files?

Welcome to the club.
-
If you want all the rows _and_ an aggregate expression, you'll need a subquery.
-
You have dozens of queries -- find the one that causes the error, and tell us.
-
Also, insert queries don't have where clauses.
Sounds like the OP wants an UPDATE.
-
Don't post your DB credentials to the world -- and I don't know what "offline" means, anyway.
-
limit
select * from table where foo='bar' limit 1
Sounds like the OP is talking about fields, not records.
-
So.. yes,
is there a way to change the limit if 2 values are the same?
i dont think so, but ask anyway
Do this in 2 parts -- grab the top 10 scores, and then join back to grab anyone with said scores.
-
If your DB equalities are case-sensitive, that means you're working with a binary collation.
-
Then you want more than 10.
-
Sorry for that I was not even sure what is was that I was looking for and finally came across a solution...thanks for your time and I aplogize for the rule violation, I was exhausted when posting that I did not mean to disregard them.
Thanks again.
Please post your solution.

First, it gives you a line number.
Second, "$end" doesn't show up the code you posted.
-
Well I don't mean the whole page, I meant the relevant section, but I said the wrong thing
I'm wondering what the errors are.
I figured as much -- but I've seen 80kb attachements recently.
As mentioned above, that string isn't quoted at all.

I mean debug turned on within the PHPMaker application. There is a checkbox to debug.

You need to be able to debug code yourself -- not with someone else's tools.
