  1. Yes, absolutely use divs over tables for layout. Tables should be used only for tabular data. An example of what I mean by 'dated' is that your typeface is rather plain and generic - not that it should be fancy by any means, just maybe freshen it up some with a little CSS. Regarding the background image - it's just too distracting. All I see when I'm looking at the content is the background. It makes for horrid aesthetics.
  2. You can download the full version and do as you wish with it. InkType.org runs on InkType, so in a way you're demoing the front-end. If you'd like to take a look at the back-end, download and install it.
  3. Hey all - InkType is a project I've been working on for some time now. Essentially it's a blogging management system (think Wordpress) but it's not limited to just blogs. Go take a test drive of InkType (http://www.inktype.org) and let me know what you think. Don't worry about giving me constructive criticism - I can take it and I use it to improve my work. Of course the project is FREE and OPEN SOURCE software. The User Guide area (http://www.inktype.org/docs/) is not complete, as you will see, but there's enough there to help you install it and get it set up. If you have questions or problems, either reply here or visit the InkType Support Forums (http://www.inktype.org/forums/). I look forward to hearing from all of you.
  4. Looks pretty nice. Is this all you or did you use another calendar app and modify it? Couple of things: 1 - Tame that wysiwyg editor plugin when adding an entry. Way too much stuff there. I'd imagine some basic formatting functions would be just fine. Get rid of everything else. 2 - You should still be able to add entries for previous days - what if you need to back-enter stuff?
  5. To be honest I found that background very distracting. The image you have to click on before entering the site is a little dated as well as the overall design. Please understand - I am not trying to just dump on you... these are the things I noticed.
