  1. Hi, I don't have an iPhone but I fixed the HTML so it should be valid and I think it may help. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <!-- STEP ONE: Insert this code into the HEAD section of your HTML document --> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- Begin loadImage1 = new Image(); IE problem !!

    Hi, You can go two ways about this. 1. Add a DOCTYPE 2. Give the border to the td like this: tr.first td { border-bottom: solid #C33 1px; } The only problem with #2 is the hover. I hope this helps, Joe
  3. Hi, The 100% is the font size and the 1.3 is the line-height. Hope that helps, Joe

    align ul in div

    Hi, I am not sure if I fully understand what you are asking, but I'm thinking you are talking about the default left padding the ul tag has. So just remove it like this: ul { margin: 0; padding: 0; } I hope that helps, Joe
  5. Hi, Try this <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <style type="text/css"> #score_progress, #score_normal { display: none; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> window.onload = displaySelect; function displaySelect(objID) { switch(objID) { case 'normal': document.getElementById('score_progress').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('score_normal').style.display = 'block'; break; case 'progress': document.getElementById('score_normal').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('score_progress').style.display = 'block'; break; default: document.getElementById('score_normal').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('score_progress').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('normal').checked = false; document.getElementById('progress').checked = false; } } </script> <title>Webpage Title</title> </head> <body> <div id="main"> <form action="" method="post"> <input type='radio' name='type' value='normal' id='normal' onclick='displaySelect(this.id);' /> Normal<br /> <input type='radio' name='type' value='progress' id='progress' onclick='displaySelect(this.id);' /> Progress<br /> <select name='score_normal' id='score_normal'> <option value='0'></option> <option value='1'>NI (Needs Improvement)</option> <option value='2'>SC -</option> <option value='3'>SC (Successful Contributor)</option> <option value='4'>SC +</option> <option value='5'>EC (Exceptional Contributor</option> </select> <select name='score_progress' id='score_progress'> <option value='0'></option> <option value='1'>UP (Unacceptable Progress)</option> <option value='3'>SP (Satisfactory Progress)</option> <option value='5'>OP (Outstanding Progress)</option> </select> </form> </div> </body> </html> I hope this helps, Joe
  6. It's a matter of calculating the percentage between the widths and the margins like this: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <style type="text/css"> #banner { width: 78%; height: 55px; float: left; border: solid 1px #000; } #small_links { width: 20%; height: 55px; float: left; margin-left: 1%; border: solid 1px #000; } #content1 { width: 78%; height: 345px; overflow: auto; float: left; margin-top: 7px; border: solid 1px #000; } #content2 { width: 20%; height: 345px; overflow: auto; float: left; margin: 7px 0 0 1%; border: solid 1px #000; } #content_bottom { width: 78%; height: 85px; float: left; margin-top: 7px; border: solid 1px #000; } #misc { width: 20%; height: 85px; float: left; margin: 7px 0 0 1%; border: solid 1px #000; } </style> <title>Webpage Title</title> </head> <body> <div id="main_wrapper"> <div id="banner"> </div> <div id="small_links"> </div> <div id="content1"> </div> <div id="content2"> </div> <div id="content_bottom"> </div> <div id="misc"> </div> </div> </body> </html>
  7. Hi, It seems that you can't change the type in IE. But what you can do is start off with a text input and then remove it from the DOM and instead create a password input. Something like this: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <style type="text/css"> </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function changeType(txt) { //Remove input type text var frm = document.getElementById('frm'); frm.removeChild(txt); //Create input type password var new_pass = document.createElement('input'); new_pass.setAttribute('type', 'password'); new_pass.setAttribute('id', 'pass'); frm.appendChild(new_pass); new_pass.focus(); } </script> <title></title> </head> <body> <form id="frm" action="" method="post"> <input type="text" id="txt_pass" value="Password" onfocus="changeType(this);" /> </form> </body> </html> I hope this helps, Joe
  8. Hi, Here is some code to start with. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <style type="text/css"> #main_wrapper { width: 830px; margin: 0 auto; } #banner { width: 595px; height: 55px; float: left; border: solid 1px #000; } #small_links { width: 185px; height: 55px; float: left; margin-left: 11px; border: solid 1px #000; } #content1 { width: 595px; height: 345px; overflow: auto; float: left; margin-top: 7px; border: solid 1px #000; } #content2 { width: 185px; height: 345px; overflow: auto; float: left; margin: 7px 0 0 11px; border: solid 1px #000; } #content_bottom { width: 595px; height: 85px; float: left; margin-top: 7px; border: solid 1px #000; } #misc { width: 185px; height: 85px; float: left; margin: 7px 0 0 11px; border: solid 1px #000; } </style> <title>Webpage Title</title> </head> <body> <div id="main_wrapper"> <div id="banner"> </div> <div id="small_links"> </div> <div id="content1"> </div> <div id="content2"> </div> <div id="content_bottom"> </div> <div id="misc"> </div> </div> </body> </html> I hope this helps, Joe
  9. Hi, If I understand you correctly, you are trying to have the image float to the right of the paragraph? If this is correct, put the image in the p tag and give it an ID. Then set the image with CSS to float to the right. CSS: #img_logo { float: right; } HTML: <p> <img id="img_logo" src="./css/images/black_rose.jpg" /> Black Rose Dying is a newly formed band founded by Michael-John Derges, Black Rose Dying will be specifying in Metal and some softer genre of music. We haven't recently produced any music but will post on a few songs as soon as they have been recorded. </p> I hope that helps, Joe
  10.   12. Try taking away the margin and padding from the h5 h5 { margin: 0; padding: 0; }
  13. Hi, If you are talking about div with the class value title_460px, then, you are giving it a height of 29px but then giving it padding top 18px so you are pretty much kicking out anything in it. I hope that Helps, Joe
  14. Check this out: http://www.dynamicsitesolutions.com/javascript/change-input-type-dynamically/
  15. I see what you are saying. So lets keep the names as the database PK and give the id's the value num. Now lets loop through the forms elements and find the text boxes. If it is a text box, lets make sure that it has an id with the value of num, because we only want to add their values and not for example the text box with the id of total which doesn't get added but just displays the final total. <html> <head> <title>Calculate textbox value</title> <script type="text/javascript"> function getTotal() { var numElements = document.myform.length; var total = 0; //loop through the form for(var i = 0; i < numElements; i++) { //check if it's a textbox if(document.myform[i].type == 'text') { //check if has the id value of num if(document.myform[i].id == 'num') { total += parseFloat(document.myform[i].value); } } } //Display the total document.getElementById("total").value = total; } </script> </head> <body> <div class="main"> <form name="myform"> Name A <input id="num" type="text" name="num[1]" value="12" /> Name B <input id="num" type="text" name="num[3]" value="8" /> Name C <input id="num" type="text" name="num[6]" value="15" /> Name D <input id="num" type="text" name="num[8]" value="5" /> Total <input name="total" type="text" id="total" value="" /> </form> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> getTotal(); </script> </body> </html> I hope that helps, Joe
  16. Hi, You could use $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] so for example if someone was on the about page and clicked the contact page you would get this: http://www.example.com/about.php I hope that helps, Joe
  17. Hi, What you should do is give them all the same name like that you are creating an array. The primary key that you get from the database put in the id property instead. Now that you have an array of text boxes, you could loop through its value and add up the total. <html> <head> <title>Calculate textbox value</title> <script type="text/javascript"> function getTotal() { var numTxt = document.myform.num.length; var total = 0; for(var i = 0; i < numTxt; i++) { total += parseFloat(document.myform.num[i].value); } document.getElementById("total").value = total; } </script> </head> <body> <div class="main"> <form name="myform"> Name A <input name="num" type="text" id="num[1]" value="12" /> Name B <input name="num" type="text" id="num[3]" value="8" /> Name C <input name="num" type="text" id="num[6]" value="15" /> Name D <input name="num" type="text" id="num[8]" value="5" /> Total <input name="total" type="text" id="total" value="" /> </form> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> getTotal(); </script> </body> </html> Hope it helps, Joe

    No scrolling?

    Hi, Get rid of position: fixed; in: .content { width: 700px; ---> position: fixed; margin-top: 75px; text-align: justify; } By setting your content div which contains pretty much everything that's on your page to position: fixed; means that you are telling the browser that div content should stay fixed in it's position and not move therefore there is no need for a scroll bar because it's not going anywhere. Joe
  19. Hi, Can you please post the HTML code. Thanks, Joe

    :hover problems

    Hi, It works fine in Firefox and IE. Are you sure you don't have any conflicting styles elsewhere? <html> <head> <style type="text/css"> a.nav { color: green; } a.nav:hover { font-weight: bold; cursor: pointer; } </style> </head> <body> <a class="nav" href="http//www.google.ca/">Google</a> </body> </html> Joe
  21. Hi, I ran your code and it's working by me: 15:37, 23rd June 2010 1 tires 2 oil 3 spark plugs $132.00 123 lal 15:37, 23rd June 2010 1 tires 2 oil 3 spark plugs $132.00 456 lal 15:40, 23rd June 2010 1 tires 2 oil 3 spark plugs $132.00 789 lal 15:42, 23rd June 2010 1 tires 2 oil 3 spark plugs $132.00 321 lal Maybe you have orders.txt open?
  22. Hi, Put the mail function in your while loop while ($row_rsnotifier = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsnotifier)) { $email_address = $row_rsnotifier['email_address']; $subject = 'Appointment Reminder'; $message = "<html> <head> <title>Calendar Appointment</title> </head> <body style='background-image:url(http://www.images/bkrnd.jpg); background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:center;'> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> Hello, $row_rsnotifier[username] <br /> <h3>This is a friendly reminder from XYZ:</h3><br/>"; do{ if ($row_rsnotifier[nick_name] != '') $message .= "$row_rsnotifier[nick_name] is due on $row_rsnotifier[hmfollow_up_date] <hr color='#FFCE00' size='1'><br />"; } while ($row_rsnotifier = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsnotifier)); $message .='<p></p> </body> </html>'; $headers = 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n" . 'From: admin@XYZ.com'; mail($email_address, $subject, $message, $headers); } Like this it sends an email to the current customer it just received from the database.
  23. In index.php where you want the message to show put this in: <?php if(isset($display_block)) { echo $display_block; } ?>
  24. You could have header('Location: index.php?unsub=1'); And in index.php if(isset($_GET['unsub']) && $_GET['unsub'] == 1) { $display_block = "<p>You're unsubscribed!</p>"; }
  25. To use mines you need to get rid of the opening <?php and the closing ?> and then paste my code. Also, in manage.php you can get rid of it and just include it there instead.
