I agree that not everyone like the green color. I will add in personal preference for website color and possibly theme. Do you guys think it's a good idea to link youtube video on the website as well?
-
I think it looks very nice. I think if you add some tv schedule for those shows, it may be helpful too. I know with Comcast on the east coast, they show international asian tv shows at certain time.

I seen some captcha using image verification, but I hate those things because it's not always clear and it'll take me a few times to get it correct. Anyone recommend using basic math calculation as captcha? I did noticed some minior SPAM already...

I noticed the alignment is only off ine IE6 when I add a word that's too long and it happens to be the last word of the line.
-
I have decided to not spend my time on fixing the IE6 issue since most people have the latest version of IE. I think the majority of IE6 user are probably the corporate work, public school, public library, etc Even opera web browser display the side bar alignment correctly. I would rather spend the time on creativity of the website. Thank you for your advice though.

I think it looks nice and the only minor thing I have is that when the mouse hovers over the main menu, should it highlight only the menu or the menu and the line separator?

okay, I'm only interested in feedback and not advertisement.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. In the www.blogoberry.com, you need to login in first and then click on the game section. Then click on Treasure Island. Here is the login information: username:test password:test You'll notice the right side bar is drop to the bottom and does not align with the main content on IE 6.

I noticed my website www.blogoberry.com loads fine on the latest IE and latest FF, but the alignment is off on IE 6. I thought it was off due to math calculation, where the two inner table size exceeds the outter table size? I looked at my style.css again and it looks okay to me? Anyone knows what's going on?

Just wondering what you think about my site
eatfishy replied to benthomasg1's topic in Website Critique
I think it's look okay. First, the main content is not align with the side bar, but if that was your intention, then I guess it's okay, but I haven't seen any website with that formatting before and it looks weird to me. Second, the puzzle pieces on each area doesn't make it too professional. Third, each webpage is not consistent with the others in term of themes. That's just my 2 cents and I was giving my honest opinion. Of course you could also bash my website and give me your honest opinion www.blogoberry.com -
thanks for your honest feed back. Anyone else care to provide feedback?

I'm not really feeling the banner background and thought it could use a better one. That's just my opinion.

I think the pictures your showing are professional looking, but lacks diversity of different race. IMO, if you want to capture a broader audiences, you may want to add more diversity.

I fixed my website to prevent any inserting malicious code from users. Anyone want to review my website again? I appreciate it. www.blogoberry.com

JBlaze, I have a few gamers on my website who likes to talk about video games including myself. We can chat about it and you can also mention about your website in there. Currently, I disabled the sign up, but will have it back up next week or so.

I noticed my website was so called hacked with some simple script iinsert and I think the person is probably a registered user here. My website isn't adverstised at all and I know it's someone from this forum who did this to either fully test it out or just doing it to be an a$$. I apologize for the incovience this may cause you and I disable the registration page. The www.blogoberry.com is free of advertisement now. I know ways to get around this problem, but haven't got a chance to work on it yet. Any feedback would be appreicated. Thanks again guys.

I think the orangle color looks hot on the website and it makes it standout as a link, so user can see the difference between a text vs link. I like the template alot.
-
I don't think the design is bad at all, but there are many web sites like that dedicated to gaming and offer alot more content. gamespot, gamefaqs and 1up are my favorite ones. I believe those websites are run by a team rather than 1 person. I created this website called www.blogoberry.com and I am not expecting it to be as popular as twitter, facebook or myspace. If my intention was to make it super popular with 10,000 users a month, I would hire people who specialized in certain area to help me and invest more $$$ in a better server. What is your intention anyway?

I hope everyone knows that there is a thing on your PC called volumn control.

Thank you guys. I actually got it working after removing the Rich Text Editor function that I copy from the net and created my own version of a text editor for blogging.

It looks like your code below does what you described already, but I could be reading it wrong.

Wouldn't you rather use PHP server side script to check if a file name is empty or not so that it won't bug out on PHP? If someone disabled their javascript, it'll go through the PHP code you use to upload file.

http://1142degrees.com/www1/global/ 1-The content boxes doesn't appear to be aligned vertically. 2-When I click on the unsolicited application, I like the fact that you have the asterisk for required field. IMO, it'll look better if you have the asterisk in red color to make it stand out more. http://moneyinvestor.org/ 1-I don't see any main content in there yet so I dont' have much feedback.

Thanks for your feedback. I did noticed the color was bright when I change my monitor to a different color temperature. Solution: I will give users option to change the coloring/theme to the website. As far as the spacing, I checked a few PC with different resolution on IE + FF and the spacing seems fairly good. What web browser / resolution are you reviewing it in?

I appreciate the help. I think I will use regular expression to validate email address for the register page.
