Google might kill itself from all of this neglect.  It IS your friend after all.  Please attempt to figure it out yourself....a quick search brings some useful knowledge.  You don't learn much by having someone do it for you.

there must be about 1000+ php based apps out there for managing and displaying vids on your site.

 

but if you must do it your self you will need to learn ffmpeg and integrate it into php

 

here is a great tutorial to get you started

 

BTW .. i googled 'php convert .flv' it was the first one on the list.
