Daniel0
http://www.my-debugbar.com/wiki/IETester/HomePage This tool is ideal for testing websites in multiple versions of Internet Explorer on Windows. It's especially useful on Windows Vista where it's not possible to install IE6 and below. 448191
I have tried this in the fairly recent past, but found that it didn't produce the same results in some cases. Not a reliable substitute for using a VM. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/109902-ietester/#findComment-563975 Share on other sites
GingerRobot
There was(and maybe still is) a firefox extention for rendering webpages as if you were using IE. Again though, it didn't give quite the same results always. I guess anything like this which is emulating the browser wont always produce the exact same results in all cases. I say ditch IE6 support anyway. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/109902-ietester/#findComment-563986 Share on other sites

Not a reliable substitute for using a VM. Oh well, I didn't give it very much testing. I say ditch IE6 support anyway. We already have here and we can because we are a community consisting of programmers. People who should be smart enough to upgrade their browser to the latest version, or even better, not use IE at all.
