unable to connect mysql server

Hi

every one,

I am unable to connect to the mysql server it has showing me fatal error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in e:\webroot\temp_con.php on line 3

This is my code

<?php
require($_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"]."/config/db_config.php");
$connection = mysql_connect($db_host, $db_user, $db_password) or die (" could not connect ");
echo "connection made";
?>

can any one help me what is the problem

i tried alot but cant suceed

Sounds like the mysql extension isn't installed properly... check your php.ini file and apache set-up. The PHP manual has a detailed explanation of how to get it working.
Seriously... if people don't start reading this before posting, I'm going to consider not answering at all.
