ballhogjoni
Hey everyone I just a bounced email saying that I sent an email that I know I didn't send. I know I didn't send it because of the subject line the returned email supplied. Subject line: Dear [email protected] SALE 88% 0FF on Pfizer I don't even know what Pfizer is. I have a mail() function on my website that lets people contact me. Is there a way to protect this? DarkWater
I'm going to give you a heads up and tell you that some code would help. =/ Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/113656-ive-been-hacked/#findComment-584071 Share on other sites
kenrbnsn
You may not have been hacked. Just some spammer used your email address as the "From" address in the spam message and you get the bounce back. There's not much you can do about it. Ken Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/113656-ive-been-hacked/#findComment-584075 Share on other sites
ballhogjoni
thx, the code looks like any other mail(). The more I think about it, I think kenrbnsn is right. Its the first email I received like this, so its probably some gay spammer using my email addy. DarkWater
Yeah, I figured as much too, but I also figured that maybe some code would help. But it doesn't really matter. There's not too much you can do in some of these situations. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/113656-ive-been-hacked/#findComment-584082 Share on other sites
