ardyandkari Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 i am having a problem that it seems like a lot of people have...i am trying to install DirectX 9 from microsofts website...the problem is that it comes up with a stupid logo error...have searched google and done some of the different things that it says that i should do. nothing works. most of the settings in the reg. were set already. nothing to change... is there any way to shut off that stupid logo thing for windows? Even game cd's you might have laying around are bound to have it. the issue is not downloading...it is installing. windows denies the install because it isnt "certified" by microsoft, even though i download it from microsofts website...dumb huh? Search DirectX 9 redist, it's the version the give DirectX 9 programmers to package with thier games. will definately do this. its for my parent's pc. was trying to install nero essentials 7 (came free with the burner), but it requires dx9. may take a while to get back to them.
