I AM BRAND SPANKING NEW TO PHP AND WANT TO USE IT TO MAKE MY SITE BETTER BUT WHEN I TYPE IN A BASIC PHP CODE INTO THE HTML PROGRAM I USE I TRY TO RUN IT IN THE BROWSER AND NOTHING COMES UP, IF SOMEONE CAN JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT TO DO AND IF I NEED MORE TOOLS WHERE CAN I GET THEM FROM FOR FREE IF POSSIBLE I WOULD REALY APPRECIATE IT  ???

Have you confugered the PHP and the webserver to execute the PHP script ?

if yes then post the code here so that you will get the help .

unless you have a web server and php installed on the machine you are using, you will see nothing.

 

download this for windows... it is wamp. i use it and it works great for me.

Anyway, like the other two posts said, you need install the PHP parse.  PHP can't just magically run from HTML files.

Either that, or you can use a webhost that supports PHP/MySql.
