Here is what I was wondering. Is there an way to get a nice clean drop shadow on a transparent image with out getting that disgusting white border around it or by coping the site background onto the image?

I know you can with 24bit png. But, older browsers add a light background to the hold image frame area.

Any help would be appreciated.

thank you,

Charlie.

Not going to happen, GIF files do not support alpha transparency, and only have a limited pallette of 256 colours. Although pointless, you can actually change the colour of the background on older browsers - Its the secondry/background colour set in your graphics package.
