play_
First and foremost: I have not perfected it. It does not look right in IE7 yet, and will never look right in IE6. So please view in FF for now =) ps( you can change wallpapers by clicking on the options link) http://decay.nu Discuss

dropfaith
okay so i took another loof and im not sure how you would do this but when changing backgrounds it seems to load kinda slow not sure if the images are just huge or what.. but i would try to cut the load time down a bit as i get a white screen for a few seconds as that image loads. its not the focus of the page to change images so you could probably use a javascript to preload them if you really wanted to.. other notes but you already know im not clear what the panel is for and if its needed really blog comments would be nice but i dont feel i should have to hunt for them by clicking another button. in the nav seems confusing to do that way.. if your going to use it for blog comments or help with the site i would put it from the post like blog blogblog comments link opens the side panel? hopefully that all made sense i like the design tho

play_
ps: i was looking for feedback regarding the design..not so much functionality, as there isn't much.
DarkWater
On http://decay.nu/contact.php, shorten the Message box so that you don't have that scroll bar.
play_
What resolution are you using? I don't see a scroll bar...the box is 50% width..there shouldn't be one unless your res is really low =( i did make the textarea smaller though, just in case. Thanks =]

My other computer has a widescreen monitor, but 1024x786 is pretty common anyway.

JasonLewis
Add something between the title tags. I like your choice of color, however be more consistent with it as color is one of the utmost important things of any design. The border of your content area box is a more "orange" color and does not mesh with the "pinky" colors. Same with the options, the border should be the same color as the navigation's border so that it fits in. The navigation's border should also continue right along the top even with the options there. Because it looks strange to hover over the navigation buttons and have no top border there. It's very nice though, simple, yet effective. Those are the best designs. play_
Thank you Project Fear! Very good points. I did make all borders the same. (except the main border, it's a little lighter due to the opacity). And i thought the border disappearing when the settings tab slides up was a nice touch. I do agree it doesn't look so good on smaller resolutions...(see screenshot here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v425/play/help/1.jpg But it does look nice on larger resolutions: screenshot: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v425/play/help/2.jpg Agree? ps: thanks. i like the design too =)
JasonLewis
It does look good how the border disappears but it just looks strange when hovering over the navigation buttons and having no top border.
