waynew
I've done a little re-design/re-ordering of my front-page. It's on a test server at the moment (maybe slow etc). What do you think: http://mytestserver.net78.net/index.php PS: I know that the border on the update blog is broken in FF. Adam
Looks okay, wouldn't say anything special or particularly eye catching. Few points to consider though.. Text like this does let it down: Testing Posted by Wayne Again, 4 hours ago MySoshial is a social network that aims to bridge the gap between casual social networking and online business networking. Doesn't validate: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fmytestserver.net78.net%2Findex.php At least in firefox 2.x, on the "MySoshial Updates" bit there's dotted lines going through the sub titles.. I think overall the colour scheme is a little weak, it all blends in too well.. Apart from those looks really good! jcombs_31
It's not bad, but your grid is totally messed up. First, things are not centered properly. Your logo should fit in the same container as the rest. You have a large gap between your columns but a small gap between the header and footer and the content area. Your colors are ok, but you have too many inconsistencies in the overall design. Clicking on register shouldn't change the overall page structure. Adam Well, the colors are not eye-catching because I've been trying to keep it as themeless as possible. I just find that themed websites get old pretty quick with users. Yea, you're right. That text on the updates section is annoying the hell out of me. I just haven't gotten around to polishing it all off. Also, the dotted border is what I was talking about when I said that it was broken in FF. I hope to validate it as soon as I get the design right. Thanks! Nevertheless, I've been planning a re-design of the banner/navigation bar for some time now. Thanks!
