Auto fill a form from DB.

I debated where to put this... wondering whether it is java of mysql.. but this is what i need.

 

Basicaly i need to populate a form as one types with info from my DB.

 

Basically to send someone a PM in a forum, i need to have the form autofill with the username of people who are currently enrolled in the site.

 

Something like facebook.. you type a friends name and it autocompletes and updates as u enter each letter.
