atl_andy
Has anyone hear used any open source ERP solutions? My employer is implementing a new ERP system this year and we're using Sage X3, definitely not open source. Given my interest in open source I decided to google open source ERP. Surprisingly there are more than a few options and I wondered if anyone has used, or is using, one. ILMV
We are making one!!! I work for a small manufacturing company in Bridgwater, England. We had the same problem whereby the current system was being sunsetted, and there wasn't an off the shelf package that would fulfill the businesses needs. My boss and the main IT developer downloaded a OS ERP system from a company called Senokian (http://www.senokian.com/products/egs/), it's worth mentioning that we have extended substantially this over the past 2 man years (mostly by my colleague, I have only done little bits here and there) to make it a fully working ERP solution. The plan is to release our system back out into the community when it is at a satisfactory level, but that might not be for some time now. atl_andy
Nice. What functionality are you building in, or have you built in? I've wanted to begin a project like that. I'm experienced on the operations side for procedures and such, just limited on the programming side. What language are you using?
