Then he wins and I loose So let me get this straight: you have a domain name and you decided that the lowest you'd sell it for is $x and what you'd ideally like to get is $y and the person making the offer started out by offering more than your $y, and you're looking at it like you're losing out, because you could have gotten more money out of him? That's going from fair to greedy. You say it's someone on this site that is interested. I'm going to laugh at you when he reads this thread. Theoretically someone could bid higher at a later point, so having that mindset the auction can never end and the item will never be sold. What is the domain name? http://publicsize.com Generally, a name like that wouldn't be worth much at all to most people. It's not a generic word or phrase. It would only be worth anything to someone if they held the trademark, if it was their company name or if they really wanted it for something that couldn't easily be re-branded. For the reasons above, it's likely only going to be of any value for one person, so they'll either take it or leave it at your asking price, you couldn't really start bidding between multiple parties.
