nati Posted February 2, 2009 Share Posted February 2, 2009 Hello everybody, I was googling and googling and found nothing well explained about the question I have. I have to do some updates and deletes in few tables and that should be performed every day at certain time. My idea was to create a stored procedure but what I don't know is how to realize that stored procedure to be called and executed at defined time, on database level (without any user or administrator action). Why not just use cron to fire off the procedure? Does the event scheduler in 5.1 allow for this? I've never used it... so I'm just asking.
