samona
Does anyone have an idea of a device that can record phone calls. Something that i can just put on my phone's headset? shlumph
You could use windows voice recorder, and put your cell phone on speaker Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/143655-record-phone-calls/#findComment-753742 Share on other sites
samona
Thanks for the reply. I'm actually trying to record an avaya digital phone. Since I dont have access to the PBX, I'm trying to have a device go between the phone and the headset. .josh
depending on your phone (newer ones might not have it, since phone companies are migrating to wireless bluetooth hands-free technology), there should be an earphone plug on it, for hands-free use. Just get the right size double jack ended audio wire and plug one end into your phone and the other end into recorder of your choice. Hand-held recorder, audio-in jack on your computer, etc... peranha
Telecorder by Omnicron. They are a bitch to set up and get working right, but when you get configured right, they work great. My company used to use them, but we programmed our own software, and have it record to a server now. revraz
Anyone else remember that sticky cup that stuck on a phone handset and that plugged into a tape recorder? deadlyp99
It was. But some people did go out and make one that worked. Dont remember the site it was on, but it cost like 10 bucks. Anyways. Assuming the headset uses a standard micro-connect stereo plug.. you could probably hackjob a splitter that would feed into the microphone port on your computer. Though with current technologies in electronics getting smaller and smaller, its not easy to do anymore. I used ot make splitters to record my cd players while listening to them, and it was pretty easy. But last time I tried to take apart headphones the wires were super small and wired weird. So once I removed them, they never worked again -.- Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/143655-record-phone-calls/#findComment-755098 Share on other sites
