webmaster1
Hi All, I'm building a basic CRM (yet to start it) that will assign a date and time to a customers record on which they need to be contacted again. Is there any way through PHP that I can get these records to pop up at entered date and time? I know this is a fairly broad question and I don't have coding to support it but is it possible and if so would anyone be able to provide some decent links? Thanks in advance!!! Maq
You could store the date and time in the DB. Then you could set up a cronjob to run every X amount of minutes or every hour to check to see if the date and time has passed. Of course it would be off by most, X amount of minutes or 1 hour if you decide to go with that. There may be some mailing software that can handle this to be more precise. As for links, look up "crontab" (or if you have a windows server "scheduled task") and the mail() function unless you have 3rd party software to handle that.
