Anyway, as far as an IDE goes, I usually use Netbeans (the initial loading time is horrible, by the way.... And sometimes autocomplete can be slow too, but it's the best free one I've seen). (To be fair, I haven't used Eclipse, although I've heard a couple people say they like it....) As for just modifying one script or working on a small project I use Notepad++ (no autocomplete, but there is syntax highlighting for like 50 languages). I bet there's an IDE thread somewhere around here. Probably in Misc or somewhere. Especially there is an ftp function which you can connect to the server and do all the programing straight away on the server. Don't know if something like this exist for eclipse.
