bpops
I'm looking for a free English dictionary that might be ready to go (or could be parsed) for entry into a MySQL database. This might be used, for example, to spell check entries on a website, or create a website like dictionary.com Thanks in advance! corbin
You might be able to find a word list somewhere and create your own similar spelling lists (soundex()s or something), but I doubt you're going to find a dictionary. Putting together a dictionary would take quite a bit of time, so I doubt anyone will want to give away a conveniently formatted digital dictionary for free. NargsBrood
You can find word lists everywhere if you do a google search.... you will have to import the list into your db structure though which shouldnt be hard. try this site http://www.net-comber.com/wordurls.html Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/146172-looking-for-free-dictionary/#findComment-767526 Share on other sites
