My website uses global header and footers loaded via php

So, the same header is called on every single page and in the header it contains javascript such as http://lite.site.com/java.js

If I load my website via https:// IE gives warnings that some elements are not being sent secure (http://lite.site.com/java.js)

So, to get this working its basically saying my header must be changed to https://lite.site.com/java.js but that means I will be calling dozens of files securely on none secure pages which I dont want to do

How can I get around this?
