dreamwest
no im really that crap at finding stuff on there I cant understand how i can get a plain file added to an archive. This also get me a fatal error: Fatal error: Class 'ZipArchive' not found in $zip = new ZipArchive; if ($zip->open('test.zip') === TRUE) { $zip->addFile('/path/to/index.txt', 'newname.txt'); $zip->close(); echo 'ok'; } else { echo 'failed'; }
trq
But the function reference is broken into sections. eg; zip obviously falls under 'Compression and Archive Extensions'. On top of that, if you know the name of a function you want to look up you can simply append it to the address. eg; http://php.net/functionname The first thing I do when learning any programming language is learn how the manual works. Thats where my problem is, i dont know what im searching for to begin with. For this i searched for "Create zip file" results were http://au.php.net/manual-lookup.php?pattern=create+zip+file and a few other search queries
