gevans
Hey guys, I've just noticed that the website itself does not allow you to apply a time-zone on a per-user basis. For example I just posted a comment in reply to a blog post that displays the date as 28 May 2009 09:37:39. In the UK, where I am it was 14:37:39. Is this something that has been considered before? It's not going to make a huge difference, just makes it a more personalised experience. Cheers, Gareth Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/160021-time-zone-of-the-website/ Share on other sites
Daniel0
I'll take a look at it, but it won't be done before the next release of the website. The ETA for that is whenever I have time to finish it. It includes some other stuff as well. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/160021-time-zone-of-the-website/#findComment-844135 Share on other sites
gevans
Ah ok, that's good to know. Are you planning an upgrade list release so we can get all excited about the changes? Would be nice to know what's going on behind the scene. Daniel0
Overall the design will be improved (courtesy of Jeff). There will be some general refactoring (to make my life easier in the future), a tagging/category system for tutorials, asset manager for people with author permissions so they don't have to host images etc. externally. There are some other things I haven't decided completely on yet, so I won't disclose that. Otherwise I'll just have people saying "but you said we would get X and Y!" Again, there is no ETA available though. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/160021-time-zone-of-the-website/#findComment-844153 Share on other sites
gevans
That all sounds good. Sounds like it should make yours, and other members above the standard "registered member" status' lifes easier. I'm interested in X and Y now, but I'll leave it to you!
