jrr
The script below works fine, the problem that I'm having is that the javascript inside getsales.php doesn't work. I've tried to put inside getsales.php and also in the main file. Any suggestions? Thanks, Julio function getSales(str){ xmlHttp=GetXmlHttpObject(); if (xmlHttp==null){ alert ("Your browser does not support AJAX!"); return; } var m = document.getElementById("month").value; var y = document.getElementById("year").value; var url="getsales.php?m="+m+"&y="+y; xmlHttp.onreadystatechange=stateChanged; xmlHttp.open("GET",url, true); xmlHttp.send(null); } function stateChanged() { if (xmlHttp.readyState==4){ document.getElementById("info").innerHTML=xmlHttp.responseText; } } function GetXmlHttpObject(){ var xmlHttp=null; try { // Firefox, Opera 8.0+, Safari xmlHttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); } catch (e){ // Internet Explorer try{ xmlHttp=new ActiveXObject("Msxml2.XMLHTTP"); } catch (e){ xmlHttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } }
corbin
The AJAX object does not parse JS. You will need to eval() it, return data in a different manner or use a library like jQuery that will handle it for you.
