little help needed with AJAX (XMLHttpRequest)

The script below works fine, the problem that I'm having is that the javascript inside getsales.php doesn't work. I've tried to put inside getsales.php and also in the main file.

Any suggestions?

The AJAX object does not parse JS.  You will need to eval() it, return data in a different manner or use a library like jQuery that will handle it for you.

sortable.js is not the problem

 

Even if I put

document.write("HELLO");

in getsales.php it doesn't work!

I use jQuery to add the table and it works
