Anyways, you have to scroll down like 2 1/2 screen-sizes (1280) to get to the bottom. Maybe reduce that? Lacks vertical spacing between text on the page itself and the links in the menu's, makes it hard to read. I'd also rephrase the text on the frontpage to something that would allow anthropology, botany, chemistry, ethnology, mythology, religion to be used in a list (<ul></li>), both for readability and search ranking purposes. 800x600 is a very low resolution to design for nowadays and probably annoys more visitors than it pleases. (1024x768 is the minimum nowadays, although your design should be easily adaptable to a fluid design which has my personal preference). Where's your <h1>? I see a <h2> and multiple <h3>'s but no <h1>. You got a lot of inline CSS, move it to an external sheet for better caching and as a result faster loading page.
