adding another field to your query

I know theres a way to make up another field inside your query. For example, i want to pull up events that haven't ended so i would use

 

Select * from table where createdate > now()

 

but then i also want to display a little symbol or something if the event is going on today, so i would use this query to see if its happening today

 

SELECT * FROM table WHERE start <= CURDATE() AND end = CURDATE() AND end > NOW() ORDER BY start ASC

 

how would i combine those and have a field that was called 'justoday' and have it equal to 1 if it the event was today? anybody have any clue?

totally messed up those queries...the first one should be

 

Select * from table where end > now()

 

and the second

 

SELECT * FROM table WHERE date(start) <= CURDATE() AND date(end) = CURDATE() AND end > NOW() ORDER BY start ASC

Leave your WHERE clause as-is, and add an expression to your column list -- like CURDATE() BETWEEN start AND end

Just suggesting that BETWEEN is a simpler operator to use.
