I'll be doing it with PHP & MySQL as I find working with Java a little bit more difficult to find resources for (free servers etc). Problem is; I don't have a clue what to do? Does anyone have any good idea that they'd like to toss a brotha? I was thinking of a social network/craigs list kind of thing, so that's my backup. But surely there are more ambitious things to do? If the final project is within a company you could have a brainstorm session with your collegesto come up with ideas. Usually these college projects have to be innovative where creating something that already exists such as a social network might not be the best way to go. Maybe you could do a little research on type of user before you do this final project. Think of what a particular group would want to have to fulfill a special need that there is currently no application for. I know in England all your submitted work in university is the property of the university, and all it's rights belong to the university. Though I don;t know if it's exactly the same for colleges.
