'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion(); How come this sends as those characters and doesn't parse it as newlines? Tested receiving with GMail. 'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion(); Is the example on php.net of mail, Your server may be doing something to it.. You can remove the \r and try, it might be a problem with your webserver's SMTP.
