k.v.manjunath
Hi All, I am Manjunath from India. I am new to Linux and I am very much interested in learning things in Linux. Recently I installed the Debian on my AMD 64 3000+ system and I am having problem with the CPU usage. My CPU is running @ 100% even though there are no application running. When I checked the System Monitoring, my CPU usage is around 20%. My CPU is getting heated very soon. Please tell me how to reduce the CPU usage so that my processor runs cooler. steviewdr
You need to run: top and see what process is chewing up the cpu. Kill the process then by going: kill PID(number from top) -steve
