mikesta707
NetBeans has a preview option I think. Eclipse might also. I use Dreamweaver, which I consider one of the (if not the) best web developer IDE that I've used. That isn't technically free, but you can get it for free pretty easily Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/179102-php-coding-software-witch-one/#findComment-944956 Share on other sites

jpiercemaine
I don't use the preview portion but I use Aptana Studio..... FREE and allows you to have multiple files open from multiple ftp connections (saving to correct server upon ctrl+s... bonus for me and reason i dropped dreamweaveer) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/179102-php-coding-software-witch-one/#findComment-944966 Share on other sites
misheck
I use phpdesigner and its quite cheap, has a preview option which can preview yoursite in IE, Firefox,Opera and any other browser you want to configure it with. You can download a demo version for 30days so you could try that first here is the link http://www.mpsoftware.dk/phpdesigner.php Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/179102-php-coding-software-witch-one/#findComment-944984 Share on other sites

merylvingien
Does anyone actually use the preview part of dreamweaver? I havent used it for a couple of years. the preview doesnt work properly with css styled sites anyway, so i always preview within a browser! premiso
This has been hammered many times and there is even a sticky located at: http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php/topic,277416.0.html As such, hamza and merylvinglen, please do not revive dead / old topics. Create a new topic if you wish to discuss Dreamweaver's capabilities. Thanks. Anti-Moronic
second zend studio. Used notepad++ for a long long time, then tried dreamweaver which I find totally overrated and just...ewww... and then came along zend studio. Incredible piece of kit and perfect for php development.
