hi people

 

sorry for the noob question but i am a noob at webprogramming but it like to learn more.. i have created a website using apache server with xammp with mysql databases, just wondering it runs good localhosting.. but how can i upload this to the net..? like as in if i buy a domain name online.. they say "create your website using our wizard. cant i just upload my php css and html files so that it runs like i run it on localhost?

 

once again sorry if it is such a simple question.. and i tried to search i couldnt find any info to help

Haha. It might seem like a noob question, but we have all been your shoes before.

 

Godaddy.com will do the trick. I wouldn't recommend using their service once you want to put up the echelons to virtual dedicated or dedicated, but for now it shoudl suffice.

 

Buy one of the shared hosting plans. They have an online ftp program you could use, or you could use filezilla. The reason I'm recommending godaddy.com is because they have a plethora of resources for new users. I had support walk over naming filenames to me.  :tease-03:
