By the way, I have place the php in the wwwroot folder.
trq
You have indeed missed some steps. What step did you take to install php exactly?

trq
Then its a textpad issue, not your servers. Iv'e not used textpad.

JonnoTheDev
my IE ask me to download and save my file This is because your webserver does not know what to do with the .php extension. You may need to restart the webserver after install. If not read whichever applies to you: http://php.net/manual/en/install.windows.php
trq
when i type http://localhost/test.php on my IE i can view my php files but when I try to preview it on my IE while using textpad, my IE ask me to download and save my file Like I said, Ive not used textpad, but it most IDE's you need to define a site. Your editor will then append http://sitename/ to the filename you are trying to preview.
