hello guys, when i try to grab all my gameservers from this php class, it only works for the port 27015, does anybody know why it doesnt work for 1337?

the error (tried google nothing works):

Well, you're doing

$buffer .= fread($this->socket, $status["unread_bytes"]);

and

$buffer2 .= fread($this->socket, $status["unread_bytes"]);

 

Presumably, at some point $status["unread_bytes"] becomes 0 (or lower).

 

Read the error message, it tells you exactly what is wrong!

Because there are 0 unread bytes. By the way, the unread_bytes count is an internal value for PHP that you shouldn't even use in your code in the first place. I don't know what your code does, and I have no intention of reading through 455 lines to figure it out.

As Daniel has already stated:

Your script is reading data from PHP's own internal buffer, (You shouldn't use this value in a script.)

if it works then your going to have problems with at least reliability,

I guess you could add this above the line

If the script works on one port but not another and looking at the error i would guess that it not getting any data from that server on that port!!

 

do i have to contact my hosting and tell them to open up port 1337 for me? because it is weird that 27015 is open already...

 

Port 27015 from what I can see is a common gaming port, so it could be possible it was opened or not blocked in the first place. Port 1337, on the other hand is used for many back door trojans. You are aware, the slang term '1337' did originate from the COTDC releasing 'backdoor orifice' , a prolific trojan at the time utilizing that port.

 

Bit of history for you.

Maybe its the gaming server, your trying to connect to? Maybe they are blocking all connections to that port, or to that port through a means not recognized, maybe that port on the target machine has a program monitoring it, that if that program doesn't recognize what your doing its going to reject the request.

 

Just an idea. Also, if it works on that other port you mentioned, then whats the big deal with the 1337 port, why does it HAVE to be on 1337 if its working on the other port?
