lostprophetpunk
I thought I would try to design another light design. I have also coded the design... Minihobbs Design Hope you like it.
noober
You're off to a nice start but I feel it really needs a little something here or there to really make it pop.
Axeia
I think sticking with a 'visual grid' would be a good idea, line out the links on the left so they start where the top part ends (middle top part), on a similar note, I'd make the 3 boxes of text at the bottom align with the big text part above it. I would recommend adding some kind of :hover effect on the links at the middle top, to indicate exactly what is part of the link and what isn't more clearly. After looking at the source... I changed my opinion from 'this is done pretty well' to 'this is pretty horrible'. You didn't declare a doctype properly and are coming up with your own tags (<footer><header><section><article>). Those aren't part of HTML and I wouldn't recommend trying to do a page in XML unless you know exactly what you are doing.. which doesn't seem to be the case, head over to w3schools element list to see what is available to you. lostprophetpunk
Axeia, I have used a grid within the design as it is a light design and within light website designs grids are key. As for my code...it is all valid. You just need to research HTML 5, as this is what it is. In which therefore I did not make up my own tags.
