devilincarnated
I want to view the google analytics for my site. Is there a solution? Got the tracking code pasted in my site. But no response. How do i go about it? Here is my test link: http://gpreneur.com/dab1023/google_ana_imp/index.php Do I have to add anything else to see the result? I have just copy, paste the tracking code. Is there a method to login users to google analytics through google login? Is there an API for this?

trq
It pretty hard to give you any kind of defintaive answer when its hard to put a finger on which question your actually asking. How to view your stats? Is there a method to login users to google analytics through google login? Is there an API for this? Which is it? devilincarnated
basically what i want is some stats to be displayed when i click on a button....heard google-analytics tracking code does this....so i downloaded it and added to my code.....but i dont get any results...it just says reading www.google-analytics.com with no result in sight....so what should i do now? should i use a google api along with my code to display result or is the javascript what i added from google analytics enough to retrieve some basic statistics of no of users visited, no of visits per user etc.....??? this is my question... trq
The code you have placed in your pages is the actual code that reports your stats back to Google. If you want to display stats on your page, that is an entirely different ballgame and yes, you will need to take a look at the documentation for the different API's. devilincarnated
Thanks Guys for helping me out and special one to you thorpe!!! i got it solved now. yes, it's an entirely different ballgame as u mentioned pal.... So, a brief summary for non-aware guys like myself: 1. First, sign up for an account in google-analytics. 2. Get the tracking code and add it in every page you want to track for vistors, no. of visits etc....you are not done yet!!! 3. Search for google analytics api(which will help you to display your tracked results). 4. That's it copy, paste the code and you are ready to roll on.
