KingOfHeart
I'm just curious on where this information is stored. Would it be located in a folder? Is it encrypted at all? I have a site and if I gave someone access to the backend, is it possible to use php or some type of script to find this info? trq
Depends on he ftp server in question, what sort of system security is in place & what you mean by 'access to the backend'. KingOfHeart
FTP access, but only to part of the site. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/195878-how-and-where-are-ftp-info-stored/#findComment-1029325 Share on other sites
oni-kun
FTP access, but only to part of the site. Assuming you're giving them root access (Such as the directory above public_html) then you will most likely be giving them access to somewhat useful/useless information. The password should be hashed on most setups I've seen, but again, it depends purely on the server and security in place. If you give someone access, make sure they can't include directories outside their authorized one (IE "../index.php".
