RON_ron
Is it possible to pull all the data from the same field of a mysql db? How? <?php $link = mysql_connect("localhost","myname","mypw"); mysql_select_db("my_maildb"); $SomeVar = $_POST['finco']; $query = "SELECT * FROM mydb WHERE theid= '".$SomeVar."'"; $results = mysql_query($query); while($line = mysql_fetch_array($results)) { //pull the required } mysql_close($link); ?> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/196325-pull-the-records-of-an-entire-field/ Share on other sites
premiso
Yea... $line['columnname'] or $line[0] depending on what field you are after, etc. You can do a print_r($line) as well to print the entire array structure to see what you want. RON_ron
Thank you! You mean something like this? $results = mysql_query($query); while($line = mysql_fetch_array($results)) { echo $line["compnay"]; } mysql_close($link); ?> but what about $query = "SELECT * FROM mydb WHERE myid = '".$SomeVar."'"; ? Won't it specify a specific row? I need all data from a field (Column)... Hope this makes scence.
