Is it possible to pull all the data from the same field of a mysql db? How?

<?php
$link = mysql_connect("localhost","myname","mypw");
mysql_select_db("my_maildb");

$SomeVar = $_POST['finco'];
$query = "SELECT * FROM  mydb WHERE theid= '".$SomeVar."'";
$results = mysql_query($query);
while($line = mysql_fetch_array($results))
{
//pull the required
}
mysql_close($link);
?>

Thank you! You mean something like this?

$results = mysql_query($query);
while($line = mysql_fetch_array($results))
{
echo $line["compnay"];
}
mysql_close($link);
?>

but what about

$query = "SELECT * FROM  mydb WHERE myid = '".$SomeVar."'";

? Won't it specify a specific row? I need all data from a field (Column)...

Hope this makes scence.
