leachus2002
Hi, I have a database that contains all of our companies assets. I am trying to make all this information available online. As part of this, I want users to be able to perform a search - which could either consist of a serial number or a pc name or an assett numer. I would have 3 text boxes, "asset_no", "serial_no" and "pc_name" Is there any way that my select statement that run's on the next page could change, dependant on what criteria was entered - for example, if they entered a value in the serial number field - the select statement would look something like: select * from table where serial_nubmer = '$serialnumber' Or if the user entered a PC name, the select statement would read: select * from table where pc_name = '$pcname' THanks in advance!
