shortysbest
I have code that makes the url of my site index.php?node=(username)§ion=users node being the php file inside of the folder called users I would like the url to be something like. index.php?node=profile&username=(whatever username in database that is called is) or something along the lines of this. idk. What i am trying to do is to get the url from a database, like maybe get the username and have that be the url instead of having to have a php file for every user on the site Im not sure how to do this though :\ my current code is: <?php $section = $_GET['section']; $page = $_GET['node']; if ($page) { //check for section if (!$section) $section = "inc"; $path = $section."/".$page.".php"; if(file_exists($path)) {include($path);} else {$error = "inc/error.php"; include($error);} } else {$error = "inc/error.php"; include($error);} ?> Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/202172-how-to-write-code-for-displaying-page-id/ Share on other sites
JAY6390
use the user id instead, and simply echo out the id of the user, then when searching for the users info to manipulate, you just use the id in your query to find it Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/202172-how-to-write-code-for-displaying-page-id/#findComment-1060235 Share on other sites
