The Little Guy Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 I install an operating (Kubuntu), it works and starts, but as soon as i put in a new graphics card it doesn't see the OS, If I remove the card, then it loads up the OS. Lamez Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 Very odd indeed. Sounds dumb, but make sure when you install the card, that you are not pulling on any data cables or things like that. Are you getting any POST (Power-On Self Test)? If you are getting one, then the hardware is working correctly. Install the graphics card again, but this time open up the BIOS and check that the boot settings have not changed for any reason. Have you updated the BIOS's firmware? Possibly took it out whenever installing the card (I know I had to with longer cards.) Then when putting it back in, didn't push it in all the way - thus not making a connection. Or TLG was bored and swapped all the connections.
