Hi guys i need to make an sql statment from fields in a form.

 

The trouble im having is how do i join the SQL statement up with AND's

 

for example

 

$var1 = "Select * from payments WHERE";

 

$Var2 = "monthid = '1'";

 

$Var3 = "salesmandID ='1'";

 

 

i want it to add Var 2 + 3 on the end on var1 only if they have something in them please help

$var1 = "SELECT * FROM payments WHERE ";
$and = array();
$and[] = "monthid  = '1'";
$and[] = "salesmanID  = '1'";

$var1 = $var . implode(" AND ", $and);

echo $var1;

 

Using arrays and implode this can be done pretty easily. (Given that I did not mess up my syntax as this is untested).

This thread is more than a year old. Please don't revive it unless you have something important to add.
