Steiner Posted August 31, 2010 Share Posted August 31, 2010 Hey everyone, I've been trying to get this to work for a day now and would love some help. I can create a database on my PC and grant all privledges to a user of my choice, i can quit MySQL and login with the new created user. That's all great but I want to learn on my mac and it's not working. I have MAMP installed and if I go to login as -u root -p root I can get on, i can create a database and grant privledges to a user of my choice the same way. However, when i quit and try to re-access with this user I get an error. Ontop of this I can login with ANY username as long as there's no password. I know it's probably a complete noob problem but i'm not finding any help to get me past this hurdle. Anyways thanks in advance =) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
