freelance84 Posted November 5, 2010 Share Posted November 5, 2010 At a junction. I have an IPN script set up for PayPal, the script uses fsocketopen. The script updates the relavent tables upon reciept of payment from the client, then sends out a confirmation email. The problem i am finding is. The host i am using at the moment (a shared server), its firewall is preventing this from working: the connection via fsocketopen is being blocked. Is this likely to be the case with most shared servers? Does anyone know of a host which offers fsocket or curl on a shared server? Is it hard to manage your own server?
